Mastering the Different Pet Society Sports

There are three different Pet Society sports that you can start playing almost immediately in the game. The ball is unlocked from the moment you hit Level 2 (which is done in the tutorial), and the Frisbee will be unlocked in a very short order after that. The third and final of the Pet Society sports is the jump rope, which will be the hardest but also the most rewarding of the three if you can master how complex it is. Together, these three Pet Society Secrets are going to allow you to reach all new heights in the game when it comes to earning Paw Points and landing those tough gold trophies.
Tips for Tossing the Ball
The ball in Pet Society is a tricky sport if you have too much space to play in. The key here is that your pet is going to start throwing it harder the longer you play. If you have a lot of space to play with, you’ll find it hard to stay behind the ball and keep it from hitting the floor. If you have a big house, go to a smaller house of a friend somewhere to play so that you can use the walls as locations for it bounce off of.

Tips for the Frisbee

The same holds true for the Frisbee, except this one is absolutely vital that you have a small house for. The Frisbee travels faster and is smaller, so it is harder to click on if your reflexes are not top notch. Make sure to have as little space as possible and you’ll be okay though.
Tips for the Jump Rope
The jump rope is a tough one to master if you’re not careful because the game gives you almost no time to react to the red line that pops up telling you to jump. So, instead of relying on that line, look for the rope to pass over the pet’s eyebrows. When it gets to that point, click the rope to jump and by the time the reaction gets through you should be good. Your own reaction time may be faster or slower, so if this doesn’t work for you, adjust as necessary, making sure to find a good visual reference point to keep your rhythm going.
As you can see, there are a lot of different things you can do in Pet Society, not the least of which are the Pet Society sports. These sports will allow you to have fun with your pet, engage with a variety of different fun actions and to gain much needed Paw Points with easily repeated actions that won’t max out each day. If you’re bored enough or are good with the ball or Frisbee, you can reach the top levels in no time flat, just playing Pet Society sports.

The Fastest Route to Leveling Up in Pet Society

Like any good Facebook game, Pet Society has a vicious leveling curve that can be incredibly deceiving. When you get started, you think you can make it to the top in just a few short days, but once you get to around level 10, the speed drops off sharply and you quickly find that leveling up in Pet Society is not only tough, it is extremely time consuming. So, it is important to know every way in which you can gain Paw Points, the de facto experience markers in this game. If you can load up on enough of these points, you’ll b able to quickly rise to the top of the game without wasting a large chunk of time in the process.
How Leveling in Pet Society Works
Leveling is based on Paw Points, which you gain for just about everything you do in the game. You will get Paw Points for every time you feed your pet, every time you increase cleanliness or happiness with cleaning and petting, for every time you do 5 ball tosses, Frisbee throws, or jump ropes in a row (this is unlimited), and anytime you buy items.
You can also gain Paw Points by visiting your friends, growing items in your garden, catching fish and giving gifts. Basically, whatever you do in this game will reward you with Paw Points for leveling up – something that you won’t get in the way of coins.
The Quickest Ways to Get Paw Points
If you’re looking for a fast route to get Paw Points, the easiest route is to log in each day and visit your friends. You will gain a large chunk of Paw Points for those visits (5 per visit), plus you can gain up to 100 Paw Points for any gifts you give your friends. This is based on the value of the gift you send, so this gets expensive, but you also gain Paw Points for buying those items, so you can double your points by buying and then giving away any items from the shops.
Once you get the hang of gathering Paw Points as quickly as possible, leveling up in Pet Society is going to be one of those processes that comes as second nature. And the best part is that, unlike making coins, you won’t need to worry about doing it forever. Once you reach Level 47, everything caps out and you cannot level up any further. In short, you will be able to find a good stopping point and just wait there as you move your way up the charts. It’s simple, it’s fast and it works extremely well. Just make sure to logon each day.

Collecting Every Pet Society Trophy

Every Facebook game has its methods of measuring your progress. For Pet Society, the trophies that you can gain from completing various aspects of the game are that means. There are 42 total Pet Society trophy options in the game with 14 different categories and 3 trophies in each of those categories. They come in bronze, silver, and gold and will grow harder the higher you get. For the most part, the Pet Society trophy system is relatively easy to master, but there are a few tricky ones you’ll want to know how to get around if you’re serious about pulling this off.
How to Get a Pet Society Trophy
To get a Pet Society Trophy, you simply need to learn what different things are required for their completion. There are any number of different categories, each of them with three different levels of completion. For example, you can get the Ball tossing trophies by keeping the ball up 15 times (bronze trophy), 30 times (silver trophy), and 50 times (gold trophy). The bronze trophies are almost all things that you’re going to be able to do anyways, but the higher level trophies may take you some time and energy to complete in most cases.
What the Pet Society Trophy Categories Mean
The majority of the trophy categories involve doing a certain action a certain number of times. In fact, almost half the trophies are directly related to going out and buying clothing and furniture. These things will happen with time anyways, so don’t worry about speeding through them. Then there are races, betting, and sports – which make up 5 of the 14 categories. The remaining categories are related to visiting friends and sending gifts – two things that any good Pet Society player should do anyways, but that you may find yourself doing in large bursts to get quicker.
If you want to get a Pet Society trophy or if you want to get all 42 of them, you need to start out by logging into the game each and every day and working toward a tangible list of things you can complete. It might seem like you’re working towards a lot of different goals here, but in all honesty, you’ll get over half of these trophies just by playing the game if you login each day. The rest will take some more time, but with a good eye for details in the game, you’ll snag them before you know it.

How to Avoid Scams in Pet Society

There are a lot of scams in Pet Society that you should be looking out for. As scary as that may sound, it doesn’t need to be a serious problem. For the most part these scams can be avoided with simple common sense – something most players have plenty of. The problem though is that the desire to excel and move forward in a game that has so many marks of status is too great to stop and think about the problems that might arise from moving too quickly. If you’re not careful, you may not be able to focus in on what you are doing and whether or not the deal you’re getting is in fact too good to be true.
Which Scams in Pet Society Are There?
To start with, players are going to try and start up trades with you out of the blue. This should be an immediate red flag. If you don’t know someone, have never seen them before and don’t know why they are trying to trade you for a Mystery Box, you may need to step back and ask yourself what they really want.
Another possible scam is people setting up shop on the forums or their own blog and making it look like they have a long history of trading. This is very simple to fake and you should look for a way to personally verify their history. Just because someone lists players they’ve traded with doesn’t mean they really did or that you’ll be able to find any of those people when you search for them in the game – there are more than 10 million players of this game after all.
How to Avoid Scams in Pet Society
To avoid scams in Pet Society, you need to do three very simple things. First, pay attention. Don’t let anyone trick you because you’re too eager to get something that you probably won’t actually receive. Second, do your research. If a stranger wants to make a trade, ask for references or Google their character name. And third, try to stick with people you know. The best route is always to just steer clear of strangers altogether. Do this and you will know for a fact that you are not going to get scammed.
If you take your time, think about what you are facing and what tricky factors might influence how you are playing the game, you will usually find that the majority of Pet Society scams can be easily avoided. Look for players you can trust, only make trades you are comfortable with and if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Keep all that in mind and you can bet that you will almost never need to worry about being taken advantage of.

How to Recycle in Pet Society for a Profit

Pet Society is a game that will allow you to do all sorts of fun new things you may not have had the chance to enjoy in other Facebook games yet. There are ways to make coins with fishing, gardening, collecting, and trading. You will be able to play games and balance all sorts of different side activities in the game that are unique to Playfish’s quirky little title. However, one of the more interesting factors of the game, especially for those who are interested in making a profit is the ability to trade in your old items for Eco Points by recycling in Pet Society.
How to Recycle in Pet Society
If you want to recycle in Pet Society, you need to start by knowing that the vast majority of items valued over 500 coins that you already have in your house, especially the ones you paid your own coins for, are not worth recycling. You can get a better profit from them by simply selling them off to the shops for the 1/3 value. You can also trade those items back to other players for a profit if they are high quality items.
With that in mind, there are some items that you can trade in for Eco Points, worth twice as much as they cost in the shop. You can also swap your grown goods in the garden and any junk you catch in the pond while fishing for Eco Points, a great way to get a profit.
The Benefits of Recycling in Pet Society
There are three different sizes of Eco Boxes in the game ranging up to 10,000 Eco Points (or 5,000 coins worth of items recycled). These boxes will contain various eco-friendly items such as totem poles that you can add to your garden or your home as decorations. You can also trade your eco boxes or resell the items that come in them, often times for a nice profit.
The real value here though is that if you have junk items but want other items instead of coins, you can recycle and get better items as a result. Don’t expect a huge profit every time out, but if you play it right, you’ll benefit each time out.
When a game like Pet Society offers you a chance to make a nice profit by recycling in the game, while also tossing in a curveball lesson for anyone that may not separate their trash from glass at home, you should take advantage of it. The Eco Points you gain, the fun items you can pull from those boxes and the possible profit you can take home from those boxes if you play them properly all point to a variety of opportunities to make a substantial gain in the game.

Pet Society

The Key to Successful Pet Society Fishing

There is a push in recent months to add fishing to as many games as possible. If you’ve ever played a “pay to play” online game, you probably enjoyed the fishing mechanic there as well. So, it is no surprise that there is such a dedicated community for Pet Society fishing – people who spend time each and every day trying to get the rare items you can pull out of the fishing pond in the center of town. Let’s take a closer look at the secrets Pet Society fishing and how to load up your aquarium wht all the different species out there.
How to Enjoy Pet Society Fishing
Pet Society fishing is done in the pond located near your home. Go there and simple toss out your line. You may need to wait for a few moments, but eventually you will get a bite that will be shown visually by a small splash in the water. When that splash occurs, start dragging the line in by clicking on it. Eventually, that line will start to pull back out. Release the line for a while when this happens to allow the slack to return to it. This will keep you from losing your fish and your bait.
For bait, most fish can be caught with any of the foods you normally use. However, some fish will require specialty bait, things that you can grow in your garden or buy in the shop. There are special items and junk as well that you can catch with carrots and apples, both things that are easiest to grow in your garden.
Mastering Pet Society Fishing
There are no top secret tactics to fishing in this game. The real key is to get a nice big stash of bait and stay on that pier for a good long time. You will be able to take your caught fish back and toss them in your aquarium at home, and there are a lot of fish – a number that continues to rise each week as new options are added to the game.
If you’re interested in getting the specialty fish, you’ll need to grow quite a few different fruit trees in your garden, which can be quite costly and take a long time, so start as soon as possible with your garden.
If you are serious about performing well at the side game of Pet Society fishing, you should spend some time growing your own food to use as bait and then developing an ongoing strategy to maintain and upgrade your fishing poles as you level up. You will also need to keep close track of your aquarium, and remember that each week, new fish and items are added to the game. Keep all that in mind and you will be well on your way to mastering one of the more fun diversions in Pet Society.

Pet Society

The Key to Successful Pet Society Gardening

There are a number of ways to spend your time each day when you login to Pet Society. One of the more recent additions that has grown in popularity is Pet Society gardening, a side game that allows you to grow your own vegetables, flowers and trees for use in fishing, decorating your home or selling back to the food store for a profit. You will need to have a few coins on hand to start Pet Society gardening, but once you have that initial investment ready, you should start gardening immediately. The profit potential is modest, but the other benefits are numerous.
How to Use the Pet Society Gardening Function
The Pet Society garden is open to you right away but is going to be costly to get started, so you may as well wait a few levels until you have some coins set aside to pay for the thing. The key to operating the garden effectively is to know what you are using the crops for. If you need fishing bait, you will almost always want to grow trees, because they do not disappear after you harvest them and they are going to take up the most room. You will also be able to sell off that fruit for a nice profit, something that you can do time and again once you’ve caught your rare fish.
Mastering Pet Society Gardening
You can also grow vegetables which sell for a nice profit and flowers. The flowers do not sell for all that much, but they can be put into pots or vases and placed throughout your home as decorations, something that will allow you a great deal of control over how your home looks. It’s fun to grow and harvest your own flowers for decorations too. Just be sure that you have the time and the money to do it properly and that you don’t grow too many. If you run out of room or end up not wanting that many flowers, you will have wasted quite a bit of coins to grow them and plant them in potters.
If you’re serious about turning Pet Society gardening into something that will allow you to enjoy the game in as many ways as possible, you need to spend some time learning how to manage your time. You also need to take advantage of as many of the benefits you gain from it as possible – including the added bait in your fishing endeavors, the boost in Paw Point gains and the side coins you can make by selling off the fruits (and vegetables) of your labor.

Recruiting New Friends in Pet Society

There are few things in a game like Pet Society that become essentially necessary to playing the game. Friends in Pet Society are one of those things – becoming an integral part of the way the game plays and of how you manage your character as you level up. So, if you’re even remotely serious about advancing in the game, you need to find out how to get as many new friends and neighbors as possible. Let’s take a closer look at how to gain and keep your friends in Pet Society happy.
Getting New Friends in Pet Society
Finding new friends for any reason can be tough, but finding them specifically to link up with you in a Facebook game can be downright frustrating. So, you need to get creative if you want to track down people who are going to be interested in playing with you. To start with, you should exhaust your own personal list of friends before turning to strangers. You never know who on your friends list might be interested in playing (or already plays other Facebook games).
Once that is exhausted though (and it will be exhausted sooner than later), you should turn to forums, blogs, twitter, and Facebook groups to find people who are interested in joining up with you to discuss these matters. You’ll often find people who are interested in a game only friendship just as much as you. Just be sure that you discuss it first. When you have too many friend requests turned down by people, Facebook starts to limit how many you can send and eventually will investigate you for a spammer.
Making Friends in Pet Society Happy
To keep all those friends happy, you only really need to do one thing – send them gifts. They will visit your home just as much as you visit their home, so that benefit is mutual, but if you are interested in staying engaged (and getting a fair number of gifts yourself), you need to send gifts, stickers, and whatever else you can get to each of your friends at least every 1-3 days.
If you’re serious about this game, you need to load up on as many friends in Pet Society as you can. They will allow you to gain more coins, more Paw Points and a whole lot more fun by engaging in activities in each other’s houses. Unlike some other Facebook games where the benefits cap out around 25 friends, Pet Society will allow you to gain from your friends infinitely. From making coins with visits to getting new items and stickers via gifts, your friends are vital. Get a lot of them and keep them happy.

How to Make Coins with Mystery Boxes in Pet Society

Mystery boxes are one of those things that end up being central to almost every aspect of Pet Society. From the most basic coin making methods to the more extreme traders and collectors in the game, mystery boxes are a primary piece of currency that you will need to learn how to buy and sell effectively if you’re serious about rising in the ranks of the game. You’re never going to be at the top of Pet Society, in coins or in level, if you don’t spend some time figuring out how to integrate these seemingly simple purchases into your game play.
What Mystery Boxes Are There?
There are three basic types of mystery boxes – each of them different in size and contents. The first mystery box is red and is sometimes called a small mystery box. It costs 50 coins and contains items worth between 50 and 200 coins. The next box is blue and costs 200 coins and contains items worth between 200 coins and 1000 coins. The next box is the gold box and costs 500 coins and contains items worth between 500 and 3000 coins.
How Do You Make Coins with Mystery Boxes?
Because the highest you can resell anything back to the shops for is 999 coins – one third of the value of the 3000 coin items, you can make a profit with any of the three boxes. The key here though is to find items that are going to be popular with your fellow players. You can often make a nice profit by reselling items back to the shops, but more often than not, you’ll make a larger profit by trading items and coins with your fellow players.
By finding high value, high demand items and boxes that your friends or neighbors need, you’ll quickly find fast routes to big coins. Just be careful if you trade for Mystery boxes as you can easily get duped by scammers if you don’t check their claims.
By purchasing mystery boxes whenever you have a chance and making sure that you keep a close eye on their value and the value of the items that come in them, you can generally make a substantial enough profit off of those items. Keep in mind that there are people out there who would gladly scam you for your items as well, so you should always take care to look up item values, review the trade you are making and be as savvy as possible in your interactions. Do all that and mystery boxes will make you a tidy profit.

The Value of Playfish Cash in Pet Society

If you’ve played any of Playfish’s other popular games like Restaurant City or Country Story, then you are likely already at least partially familiar with Playfish Cash. Just like those other games Playfish Cash in Pet Society serves the purpose of unlocking certain higher level and rare items that you would not otherwise be able to buy. It also allows you to access things like the Nannybot which is a great way to maintain your account while you are not logged on. But, for many people who are new to the game or who don’t want to spend real money on a Facebook game, other questions come into the mix regarding Playfish Cash.
What Playfish Cash in Pet Society Can Do
Playfish Cash can be used to buy Nannybots and batteries which can be used to feed and wash your pet automatically when you are offline. You can also use the Playfish cash to upgrade your character in ways that coins cannot. This includes buying rare foods and items for the house that may look cooler or allow you to stand out in special ways. The cash won’t however help you play the game faster or get you to Level 47 more easily.
Do You Really Need Playfish Cash in Pet Society?
The answer is tricky here. It depends on your goal. If you’re trying to reach Level 47 quickly, then no – you don’t need Playfish Cash. However, if you are interested in getting the coolest house with the most stuff to play with, then you very well may need to go with a good chunk of Playfish cash to buy the rarer and more interesting items that are available. For the most part, the choice is up to you, but if you don’t have the cash to spend, don’t spend it. You can at least get to Level 47 first and then worry about if you want the upgrades that Playfish cash can buy you.
The question about Playfish Cash in Pet Society that most people ask is how it will actually help them. In some games it speeds things up significantly. In Pet Society, it just provides a much more complete set of options to deck out your home. If that is something you are interested in, then you should start working on getting some cash together to buy Playfish Cash. If your only goals are to reach Level 47 and hang out with some friends though, you should focus more intently on those things because Playfish Cash won’t have much more of an impact.

Shamans - Spiritual Casters With Lots of Totems

Shamans are a nice class with a lot of different spells and abilities. You can play a Shaman in several ways. You can choose to be either a Melee or Spell casting damage dealer or become a Healer. The Shamans could only be played by the Horde races until the release of the Burning Crusade when the Draenei of the Alliance made it possible to become an Alliance Shaman. Shamans can wear all weapons except swords and are dependent on leather armor till level 40 and can then wear mail armor.

Shamans are well known for their ability to place totems that boost both themselves and party members. There is a great variety of totems that can be cast and these are divided in four schools: fire, water, earth and air totems. Only one totem of each school can be active at a time. Besides the totems, a Shaman also has another great ability called Blood Lust, or Heroism for Draeneis, which boosts all party and raid members haste rating by 30% for 40 seconds. Not to forget, the Shaman can also summon a Fire and Earth Elemental from time to time.

Then there are several abilities that the Shaman can benefit greatly from during leveling and basically in any kind of scenario. The Shamans have an ability called Reincarnation which comes with a cooldown of one hour. The Shaman will be able to resurrect the moment he gets killed if this ability isn’t on cooldown. It does require a reagent called ‘Ankh’. The Shaman can also learn Ghost Wolf at level thirty which improves his running speed which is nice for leveling, even though mounts can be used at level 30 now as well. Shamans also have Astral Recall which basically serves as another Hearthstone, this one has only 15 minutes cool down though and doesn’t cost you a spot in your bag!

As you can read above, the Shaman truly does have some great abilities. The talent trees will provide you with even more cool spells and abilities.

To begin with there is the Elemental talent build which is meant for casting damage dealers. You will use lighting and fire attacks to maximize damage. A nice AoE spell that becomes available later is Thunderstorm which does nice damage and knocks back enemies.

Then there is the Enhancement talent build. This build is created for melee damage dealing Shamans. This build will allow the Shaman to equip two one-handed weapons and will also give him some great melee attacks. If the Enchancement build is followed to the end you will be able to summon two Spirit Wolves which are extremely powerful both in PvE and PvP.

Finally there is the Restoration build which is focused on healing. Shamans can be great healers with their Earth Shield, Chain Heals, Healing Waves, Mana Totems and Riptide. The Restoration talent tree does not only give new abilities but also gives great boosts to already existing abilities.

A Shaman is easy and fun to level with all these abilities. Another nice thing a Rogue in example does not have is that you can switch between melee damage, being a caster and a healer whenever you like.

Rogue Leveling Guide

A Rogue is a pure DPS class that wears leather armor and should focus on getting a lot of Agility which will give him some Dodge chance thus survivability while leveling. A Rogue also has some nice stunning attacks that should always be used to minimize damage done to him. First Aid is definitely necessary to minimize a Rogue’s downtime.

The Rogue has three nice talent trees and they all have their pros and cons. If you want to make a nice leveling build you should check out the one below because it takes a bit of all three talent trees and it will give you a lot of useful abilities and boosts to level up like crazy.

You should start by putting some talents in the Combat tree. Start with Dual Wield Specialization and then go for Precision to make sure you hit a lot with both weapons. Now go for Deflection because you will encounter a lot of melee mobs and that makes 6% parry chance really nice. Skip Riposte but do take Endurance so the cooldown of Evasion and Sprint are much shorter. These two abilities are great while leveling. Now Improve your Spring and Dodge chance and finally take Blade Furry which is just great when you’re fighting two mobs at once. It increases your damage by 20% anyway for 15 seconds so even if you’re fighting one mob it’s quite good.

Now put five points in Malice at the Assassination. Take Ruthlessness and Puncturing Wounds. Do take Vigor asap because it is really nice to have 110 Energy. Take Lethality to improve the damage from your critical strikes and then go for Vile Poisons and Improved Poisons. Take Cold Blood which is a killer and Fleet Footed to increase your movement speed which is always welcome while leveling. Take Quick Recovery and then take Sealed Fate to apply combo points faster which is a nice combo with Cold Blood.

Take Overkill so you can do more damage when you come out of stealth and then take Deadly Brew so runners won’t be much of a menace since they get their movement speed reduced with 70%.

Take Deadened Nerved to reduce damage done to you and take Weaknesses to increase all damage done by 6%. Last but not least you should take Mutilate in this tree which is a nice attack.

Take Relentless Strikes and Opportunity from the Subtlety tree and you have a great leveling build.

With this build you will have more Energy-boosting talents, two great attacks in Mutilate and Blade Furry, increased movement speed, a lot of crit and hit rating, some Poison specialization, some Dodge and Parry chance, and you will have your Sprint and Evasion improved.

Rogue - Shadow Stalkers

Rogue’s have a clear purpose in WoW, dealing damage. Rogues are a melee class that can use several high damage abilities to make sushi out of their opponents, whether in PvE or PvP. Rogues can Dual Wield every kind of one-handed weapon there that can be found in WoW. There are able to use their special abilities with the use of Energy. With some of these special abilities, one can apply a combo point on their target. The Rogue also has some finishing moves that are more effective when more combo points are applied on the target. There can be a maximum of five combo points on a target and they disappear once a finishing move is being used.

Next to their great damage dealing capability the Rogues are also known because of their ability to stealth and their preference to attack from behind with their backstab ability. They walk around stealthed in battlegrounds and arenas, sneak up behind their enemies and have an edge over them. Being able to stealth also comes in handy in PvE scenarios because there is an ability called sap which can be used on Humanoid mobs which keeps them out of combat for up to sixty seconds. They are also able to Blind a enemy for 12 second, making him incapable to do anything.

Rogues also have some stunning and disrupting abilities which makes them great for both PvE and PvP purposes. Some good Rogues are able to stunlock enemy NPC’s or players, which basically means that they can hardly move, cast or attack.

Rogues can also use some poisons on their weapons that either boost their damage or put some other debuff on a target.

The following races have Rogues in their ranks: Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Trolls, Undead, Orcs, and Blood Elves.

A Rogue can choose to specialize in the Assassination, Combat, or Subtlety build, or choose to combine either one of these talent trees. All the trees are there to increase the damage output of a Rogue, since tanking or healing are definitely not his thing and can even be considered as a Rogue’s weak spots. It is for the player to decide which talent tree suits him best. All the trees got their pros and cons, the one player likes this, the other likes that, discussions go on and on but basically it comes down to preferences.

What can be said is that the Assassination tree is usually chosen for leveling and focuses on the crit rate and poison aspects of the Rogue, while the combat build offers the Rogue the chance to specialize in a particular type of weapon, which is why this build is probably better at 80 once you got some steady weapons.

The Subtlety build focuses on the Survivability, crowd control and Stealth aspects of the Rogue. This build gives the Rogue some burst damage and this is probably why a lot of PvP Rogues go for this build.

The Benefits of Dungeon Leveling

For World of Warcraft players, the clock is ticking to the Cataclysm expansion. The entire world will change with Cataclysm, but for now there are some important benefits that you’ve got to take advantage of while you can. Right now dungeon leveling is the perfect way to reach level 80 quickly and efficiently, and that could all change when Cataclysm arrives. The new expansion will completely reshuffle the WoW world, and some of those old Classic and Burning Crusade dungeons will disappear. You’ve got a limited time to experience these dungeons, and instance leveling is the perfect way to do it.

There are many reasons instance leveling helps you reach level 80 much faster than traditional solo questing and grinding. The most basic reason is that you gain experience much faster. You don’t have a lot of down time when you’re leveling through the dungeons because you’re pretty much killing mobs nonstop. You don’t have to spend a lot of time running to a new area in between levels because the dungeon finder takes you right to your instance. In most cases, you’ll also spend a lot less time dead and running to retrieve your body. This cuts back on your down time even more, making leveling a breeze!

Dungeon leveling is also much easier than traditional solo quest leveling because you have many more opportunities to get even better gear. There are three ways you’ll have access to better gear through dungeon leveling. First, the gear you receive from doing the quests that are located inside the dungeons is far better than almost anything you’ll get from solo questing. Blizzard wanted to make the rewards for dungeon leveling even more appealing than solo power leveling because running instances is more difficult. This is why the gear you earn as a reward for doing the dungeon quests is so much better than the gear you get for doing solo quests. Blizzard also granted twice the experience for completing dungeon quests, as opposed to solo quests.

Whenever you’re instance leveling, you also get the chance to kill a lot more bosses and elite monsters. These unique creatures will drop much higher quality gear, which you will never have access to if you don’t learn all about dungeon leveling. The third way you can get better gear by dungeon leveling is the special bag you get upon completion of your first random dungeon of the day. The contents of the bag won’t always benefit your character, but sometimes they are exactly what you need.

Another great thing about instance leveling is that it gives you a chance to explore areas of the game that you can’t go into when you’re power leveling on your own. Of course solo questing certainly has its place, but you’ll need four other people to go into the dungeons and take advantage of all they have to offer. After all, you’re going to run across a lot more elite monsters in the dungeons, and they give a lot more experience than just killing regular creatures.

Warriors – Weapon Masters

Warriors are a great melee class. They are capable to Tank, and even by most considered to be the best tanking class still, but can also do great damage in both PvE and PvP. Masters of the melee fight as they are, they are capable to equip all the melee weapons and even Dual Wield. Next to that they can also wear Plate armor and Shields. Their special abilities can be used with the use of Rage which is gained by taking and dealing damage, and some talents and abilities.

The Warriors have stances they can choose between. The Defensive Stance is normally only used for tanking because it reduces the damage done by 10%. However, it does increase the threat made by 10% and the damage done to the Warrior is reduced by 10% as well. Then there is the Battle Stance which is their basic stance which doesn’t give any boosts or reductions and finally there is the Berserker Stance which increases the Warrior’s critical strike rating by 3% but also increases damage done to the Warrior by 10%. Some abilities can only be used when the Warrior is in a particular stance.

Warriors are strong and can take a few punches which make them easy to level because their damage output is good as well. One should carry a shield with him while leveling so you can tank an instance when you get the chance. At level eighty 70+ however you will definitely need to have a Protection build to tank the instances though. In my opinion Warriors are fast levelers because you can kill the mobs quite fast and then Charge into the next one. Because of the plate armor you will not lose a lot of health, though one does has a few abilities that restore hitpoints and otherwise some bandages can be used which isn’t that time-taking either.

All the races, except the Blood Elves, have Warriors in their ranks.

The Warriors have the Protection talent tree if they want to become good tanks. In this talent tree there are a lot of abilities that reduce the damage done to the Warrior. You will also improve your threat done with this talent tree and will gain some new nice abilities like Spell Reflection, Shield Slam, Shock Wave and Last Stand. A Warrior can be a great tank, in my opinion, Blizzard designed Warriors to be tanks and they are the best at it.

Since WoTLK, the Arms tree is considered to be the weakest talent tree by many Warriors. This is basically because the Fury talent tree has received some great talents that make the Fury talent tree just as good or maybe even better for PvP and it stayed better in PvE. The Arms tree was good because of the Mortal Strike’s debuff left on the character that reduced healing done on him by 50%. Now the Fury Warriors have something similar in the talent tree called Furious Attacks which also gives the same debuff of 50% healing reduced on the target. If you follow this tree you will be able to Dual Wield two two-handed weapons as only class in WoW! It doesn’t only look great but boosts the damage as well and puts the Arms build even more in the shadows. Then there is Heroic Fury, another PvP talent that removes immobilizing effects and removes the cooldown from your intercept.

Warrior Leveling Guide

Some players really enjoy tanking and see no problem in leveling their Warrior as a Protection Warrior. Shield Slam and Revenge do decent damage and also Shockwave is nice at later levels. If you want to speed up your leveling though, you should definitely explore the Fury talent tree. Two one-handed weapons should be used until you can equip two two-handed weapons.

I have made two builds. One will also take the Impale and Deep Wounds of Arms while the other is even more focused on Fury. It is up to your preferences which ones you would choose.

I would advise you to at least first take Improved Charge in the Arms Tree. Then you can continue with 5% crit rating in the Fury tree and go on down from there. Aim to get Death Wish, Precision and Weapon Mastery asap so you don’t miss that often and Deathwish is a nice damage boost. Flurry is extremely nice and after you take this ability you really get that ‘Rogue-in-plate’ feeling because you really make sushi out of your opponents.

Next in line is Blood Thirst which does not only do a great amount of damage, but also restores health over time. This ability is just great for leveling because it is one of the few life-giving abilities a Warrior has.

Now you will get to choose between some nice damage dealing abilities. Do move down in the tree though and pick up the remaining ones at later levels. Get Rampage as soon as possible, it is a great ability that boosts your damage significantly and only costs one talent point.

You can see that Blizzard wanted to improve the ever so useless Slam ability of the Warrior and you can see that they succeeded. You will have a 20% to instant cast Slam and its damage gets improved to. Whirlwind and Cleave as well get a damage boost in this three which makes the Warrior more capable to deal with multiple mobs at once.

Finally you got Titan’s Grip. Man did I love to see my Warrior looking ba%&$s with two two-handed weapons. Of course, it doesn’t only look great but it will also give you a whole different game play. Ok, you will need to get a lot of hit rating to make up for the hit rating loss but it is kinda cool that the Warrior, the weapon master that always could wield all weapons, can now wield two two-handed weapons instead of the Death Knights in example, which the words once spread before the release of WoTLK.

Warlocks - Bring Fear Upon Thee

Warlocks have always been a nice class to play. For some reason they always looked great, Blizzard always made the nicest tiers sets for them, then they have those cool class mounts. However, it isn’t only the look that counts and the Warlocks have a lot more to offer. The Warlocks are great casters and use the Schools of Fire and Shadow damage as well as a variety of different Fear spells and a Demonic Pet to bring pain upon their enemies.

You can choose a different pet for different scenarios. You can choose between an Imp, Fel Hunter, Succubus, Fel Guard, and even a Fire Golem can be summoned.

A Warlock needs Soul Shards for some abilities. These can easily be obtained though by using Drain Soul on an enemy.

A Warlock is very nice in PvP because he has a lot of damage over time (DoT) spells. If he first casts a few DoT’s and then continuously fears his opponents while also his pet is chasing them around doing additional damage, he basically can win from most opponents. The Locks also have some nice AoE spells like most other casters and have some other specific abilities. One of them is the Ritual of Souls. With this ability he makes a Soulwell which all the party and raid members can use to get a Healthstone, which instantly restores health when used. Warlocks can also create a Soulstone on themselves or on other players. Once the player dies he would be able to resurrect. Last but not least is their ability to summon other players which comes in very handy from time to time.

If you want to play a Warlock you can choose between the following races: Gnome, Human, Orc, Undead, and Blood Elves.

There are three talent trees that all enhance the Warlocks damage.

Lets start with the Affliction talent tree. Favored by many PvP Warlocks is the Affliction build simply because it focuses on the DoT spells of a Warlock and even gives him some new ones. Also the fear spells become better when this build is followed. The tactic of DoTting and then fearing like said before is great for PvP.

Then you got the Demonology build which increases the damage output of the Warlock as well as the Pets one can summon. It also gives the Warlock the ability to sacrifice his pet to make him stronger. This build is also nice for both PvE and PvP. If the Demonology build is followed till the end you will even be able to transfer into a Demon yourself. As a Demon you will get a new set of abilities and become more of a melee character with increased damage for a period of time.

The name says it all; The Destruction spec focuses on the damaging spells that do a lot of damage like Shadowbolt and the Fire based spells. This build is developed to be able to top damage meters with powerful spells.

As a Lock you can of course choose to make sort of a hybrid build between Demonology and Destruction which is also seen quite often.

World of Warcraft

Warlock Leveling Guide

A Warlock is quite an easy character to level. With a Demon Pet at his side and a wide array of damage, fear and AoE spells a Warlock can be capable to level up really fast. Mana brakes is not a word you can should find in a Warlock’s dictionary because you should use Life Tap to convert health into mana and then use Drain Life to fill it up, if necessary, because most of the times your health will restore gradually while your pets are taking the hits or you are fearing the mobs.

Two great abilities that you should use all the time are the Create Healthstone and Create Soulstone abilities. Consuming a Healthstone will save your life many times and when you do die you have your Soulstone on you so you can resurrect on the spot.

As a Warlock you should stay Affliction until you reach level 70.

With the Affliction talent build you will increase all your DoT spells and will also gain a few great spells. It starts off nice with Improved Curse of Agony. Suppression and Improved Drain Soul will give you less mana problems. Soul Siphon and Improved Life Tap will also help you to maintain your health and mana.

Then you got Amplify Curse and Fel Concentration that will help you cast better and faster. Then you increase your range and some damage of some spells. Curse of Exhaustion is an option, handy for PvP realms. Siphon Life and Shadow Mastery are extremely good.

Two other great spells you will learn are Unstable Affliction and Haunt. Both are great damage spells. Improving your Felhunter goes well with Dark Pact.

Once you enter Northrend you should switch your build to a Demonology - Affliction build.

So basically this build is about having a Felguard and Siphon Life. While boosting your Demon Pets you can still do good damage with the DoT’s the Warlock has. The Affliction tree offers a lot of health gains which you can of course convert to mana so basically a lock with this talent build will have no down time.

The Demonology is to mana consuming to be an effective leveling build. The Affliction tree is great though to preserve mana and deal a lot of damage. With an Affliction talent build however you should place all your dots on several mobs so the leveling speeds up a bit. You will have a lot of survivability through the Affliction tree and Demonology tree at later levels. The Felguards are also really nice and do add up to the damage. They can affectively tank a few mobs with their Cleave for a bit while you start placing the DoTs.

Understanding Dungeon Leveling

With Wrath of the Lich King, we’ve seen power leveling on World of Warcraft come to an all new level, thanks to the new dungeon finder tool. WoW players are getting to level 80 faster than ever before. They’re having more fun and getting better rewards than they ever did before the dungeon finder was introduced.

The dungeon finder is not just for level 80 characters. Dungeon leveling through the finder has become an integral part of power leveling, and it’s changed the game of WoW forever. In fact, instance leveling has become so important that most of the leveling guides players have used for years are now obsolete.

Even though many of the lower level dungeons are located in Horde territory, both Alliance and Horde players can now easily reap the benefits of the Classic and Burning Crusade dungeons, thanks to this amazing new tool. The dungeon finder pulls together players of the same faction from many different servers. It sends you into your dungeon automatically without the hassle of having to run through enemy territory to get to the dungeon. This means Alliance characters are now experiencing some of the Horde dungeons, while Horde players are also experiencing Alliance dungeons. It also means it’s much easier for both Horde and Alliance players to complete the quests that are in dungeons located in the opposite faction’s territory.

Completing the quests inside of the dungeons is an important part of dungeon leveling. Blizzard wanted to encourage more players to actually set foot inside of dungeons before they reach level 80, so they increased the amount of experience and the quality of rewards you get through instance leveling. Completing a single dungeon quest gives you double the amount of experience you receive when you complete a solo quest, and the rewards from the dungeon quests are much nicer than those you receive from the solo quests.

In addition to better rewards from the dungeon quests, you’ll also have access to much better gear simply by killing the bosses in the dungeons. There are plenty of unique bosses located in every one of the dungeons, and they drop gear that’s best in slot for your particular class and level. You won’t be able to find this gear by questing solo, so you’ve got to go into the dungeons in order to get it.

Another aspect of killing the unique bosses you’ll find by dungeon leveling is simply the extra fun. Who doesn’t love a new challenge? Instead of the dull grinding involved in some parts of power leveling, you have unique opportunities to kill bosses you wouldn’t be able to otherwise.

Dungeon leveling depends entirely on working as a group, and it’s just a glimpse of all the fun you’ll have when you finally do reach level 80 and can play some of the end game content. Playing in a group with other people makes every single encounter just a little bit different than the one before, and you’ll level so fast that you’ll truly understand what it means to power level.

Shaman Leveling Guide

It is great to level a Shaman. Ancestral Recall counts as an improved hearthstone. Reincarnation will save you a lot of corps running time. Ghost Wolf will help you move faster at lower levels. At later levels you will have the Fire and Earth Elementals to help you out and two of the three talent trees are really great for leveling and will give you a lot of nice abilities and improve the ones you already have. The Restoration tree should be avoided so that leaves two trees that are nice for leveling: Elemental and Enhancement. I’d say that Enhancement build is even a lot faster than the Elemental build so if you just want to level up fast; go Enhancement. As an Enhancement Shaman you will hardly have any down time and you will have instant Ghostwolf so you can escape tricky situation.

Here’s the Enhancement build you should try:

As you can see you should use only the Enhancement tree. It is advisable to move down the tree asap and then get back later to fill in some other points.

First you should start with Ancestral Knowledge to increase your Intellect. Then choose Improved Ghost Wolf straight away to make it instant cast. It will save you from tricky situation and save you time in general. Put three points in Thundering Strike and then go down to Shamanistic Focus. Put two more points in Thundering Strikes and two points in Improved Shields. Now put five points in Flurry. Take Spirit Weapons and Mental Dexterity and then put another point in Improved Shields. Always keep your Lightning Shield up so you deal a lot of damage with it. It doesn’t cost mana nowadays so it’s great.

Put three points in Weapon Mastery and two points in Unleashed Rage. Choose Dual Wield straight away, then Storm Strike and go for Dual Wield Specialization so you don’t miss all the time. Take Lava Lash and then Improve your Storm Strike. Take Static Shock to boost your damage a bit more.

Take Shamanistic Rage which is great to restore some mana and Mental Quickness to improve your spell damage and reduce the cost of your Shocks and instant heals. Put five points in Maelstrom so you can actually make those instant heals, which is very nice. And finally.. Feral Spirit, you gotta love these doggies. These little puppies heal you every time they do damage, they have the ability to stun enemies, are extremely fast and they also have a taunt sort of thing. You can control the Wolves and use their abilities how you please. Together with your Elementals, Heroism, Totems etc you will have a hard time not to pawn any class if all your cooldowns are ready.

Now that you got Feral Spirit you should just look up in the talent tree and choose the talents you like to fill in first. Eventually your talent tree should look similar to the one I made.

Profession Guide - Warlock

Warlocks are one of the most powerful damage dealers in World of Warcraft. They can only wear cloth and since the Wrath of the Lich King their gear is spirit based even though they still need a lot of stamina and intellect.

Tailoring and Enchanting

Tailoring and Enchanting are usually paired professions when it comes to Warlocks. Since Locks wear cloth tailoring is proven to be very useful for them while leveling and even on higher levels since the gear they can make with is sufficient to be a good pre-raiding gear. By doing achievements they can obtain two epic cloak patterns from the tailoring trainer. A tailor Warlock can make embroidery for pants which can improve his stats, also could sell it to other players on the Auction House. If he/she would choose to buy it from other tailors it would cost some valuable mats and gold, while by being a tailor it only costs two Ethernium threads. Same goes for a few cloak improvements that tailors can make themselves. Another nice thing for Warlock tailors is that they can make bags, especially Abyssal Bag which is a 32 slot Soul bag where a Lock can put his/her Soul shards. The Enchanting on the other hand fits Locks perfect since they are dps casters and always need a lot of enchants to improve their performance in raids and instances and also in PVP. Disenchanting is also quite useful for any class and Warlocks are no exception. They could disenchant all the stuff and gear they don’t need or want into valuable items like shards, essences and dust. These items could be easily sold on the Auction House or used for enchants Locks themselves would need. While leveling Tailoring Enchanting is a profession that helps a lot. There are also few enchants that an Enchanter can put only on himself, like ring enchants with increased stats and spell power which would make a good Lock be even better.

Alchemy and Herbalism

Alchemy and Herbalism are always nice to have for any class especially casters and healers since they use a lot of potions. Locks can also make a lot of usable flasks and elixirs for themselves to boost their performance in raids and while playing instances or sell them on the Auction House for a lot of gold. With Herbalism since the WOTLK expansion comes also a nice healing buff called Life Blood which will heal you for 2000 over 5 seconds. It is nice for Locks since they use Life Tap.

Other

Other useful professions for Warlocks could be Jewelcrafting, Engineering and Inscription. Inscription is nice just because it is a useful profession, which will enable you to make useful Glyphs that you can use or just simply sell on the Auction House. With Engineering you will get to make nice mounts, gadgets and armor pieces such as Goggles, which are favored by the caster dps classes. Injectors for mana and healing potions are also useful since they will save up some space in your bags. Jewelcrafting is great since with it a Warlock can make nice rings, necklaces and valuable gems which are unique and soulbound to the wearer. If a Warlock would choose mining he/she would get a nice buff called Toughness which will increase your Stamina by 50, while with Skinning i.e. a Lock can get a buff called Master of Anatomy which will increase his/her critical strike rating by 32.

World of Warcraft

Profession Guide - Warrior

Warriors are the main tanking class in World of Warcraft but they can also be good dps, depending on the spec they choose. They wear mail armor while leveling and on the 40th level they get to wear plate which will stay as the best choice of gear for them on higher levels. Their choice of weapons depend upon their spec. Manly the tanks wield one-handed weapons and shields and the dps Warriors wield two-hander weapons.

Blacksmithing and Mining

Since Warriors are plate wearers usually the best possible combination of professions for them would be Blacksmithing and Mining. Mining as itself is a profession that accompanies few other primary professions and helps speed up its leveling and also gives the Toughness buff which will increase your Stamina by 50. Blacksmithing on the other hand is something Warriors can definitely use during their leveling and after during the playing. With Blacksmithing as their main profession Warriors can craft many usable goodies like weapons, shields, armor sets, rods that’s enchanters need, sharpening stones and buckles. Eternal Belt Buckle in example is a nice addition to the belt of any class and will boost their stats; however it will only work on items that have no slots for gems. In order to be a level your Blacksmithing skill you will need a Blacksmith Hammer and a Forge. You can find Forges in all the major cities and also in smaller villages. If a Warrior chooses to become a Blacksmith he/she can at some point choose between becoming an Armorsmith or a Weaponsmith. If one chooses to become a Weaponsmith he/she can then choose between Sword, Axe or Mace smith depending on their choice of weapons.

Alchemy and Herbalism

It is not so common to see a Warrior with these two professions but some do take it since these professions are quite useful for raids, instances and even for grinding. They are also two of the gold making professions, which means that all that you gather or create you can sell to other players or on the Auction House. Warriors definitely need healing potions and elixirs that will increase their armor value of overall health during long boss fights. There are also few usable flasks which will have an effect on them even after death. With Herbalism also comes a new skill called Life Blood which can heal you for 2000 over 5 seconds. It is very nice for Warriors since they have no healing abilities.

Other

Other useful professions for a warrior could be Enchanting, Jewelcrafting, Engineering and Inscription. These professions could come in handy. Inscription is nice because of the Glyphs you could make for yourself and you can also sell them on the Auction House. With Enchanting a Warrior can enchant his/her weapon, shield, and other parts of the armor. Warriors can also benefit from the ring enchants which Enchanters can do only on themselves. With Jewelcrafting they will be able to craft gems that are unique to equip and which will enhance their overall stats. Engineering is nice because you could make ammo, guns, bombs, lock-pick keys and other useful gadgets and also some nice gear pieces like Armored Titanium Goggles.

World of Warcraft

Profession Guide - Rogue

In World of Warcraft, Rogues are a pure melee dps class. Their performance and spec depends on what kind of game play they choose, PVE or PVP. They are leather wearers.

Leatherworking and Skinning

Leatherworking and Skinning are two professions that suit Rogues perfectly since they wear leather. Skinning is a profession which is easy to level up and matches leatherworking really good. If a Rogue chooses to pair Leatherworking and Skinning he/she won’t be sorry. With leatherworking Rogues can craft their armor while leveling and also nice epic armor sets on higher levels. A leatherworker Rogue can craft Armor Kits as well. These are used to boost the stats of one’s armor ad could be also sold on the Auction House. Icescale Leg Armor will be one of the interesting things for you as a Leatherworker Rogue. This is improvement which could be attached to your pants to improve your stats like attack power and critical strike rating, which are very important for a Rogue. If you prefer to play PVP, Earthen Leg Armor would be nice for you since it will boost your Rogue with 28 Stamina and 40 Resilience rating.
Leatherworking is fairly easy to level up since all you need are the skins from the beasts which are obtainable by skinning of course. It is said that Skinning and Leatherworking are the two fastest professions one can level up. Another thing Rogues will love is the Master of Anatomy buff that gives +32 on the critical strike rating and comes with Skinning as one of your primary professions.

Engineering and Mining

Engineering is also a commonly used profession by Rogues. Mining however accompanies it and makes its leveling faster. There is a nice benefit that you will get from mining, a buff called Toughness. This buff will increase your Stamina by 50. With Engineering a Rogue could make Weakness Spectralizers a nice head piece with Meta socket and a lot of stats. Healing injector kits are also nice to save up some space in your bags. Gnomish Army Knife is one of the things your party or raid members will love you for. With this you could return a dead player back to life. It cannot be used while in combat but since a Rogue can go into stealth if his/her group is about to wipe, he/she can try to resurrect a dead healer and save the group and also some time the group would waste corpse running.

Other

Herbalism and Alchemy are always nice to have since one can make various elixirs, potions and flasks usable for PVE game play, if one chooses to raid or do instances. Also there is a buff that Herbalism gives called Life Blood which heals you for 2000 over 5 seconds and can be used while you are invisible or stealthed. Sounds good for a rogue that can only use bandages to regain health back, doesn’t it? Blacksmithing is nice as well if for Rogues that choose to become Weapon Masters so they can create weapons for themselves. Even though this profession fits better the plate wearers, on higher levels it can suit Rogues just fine. Jewelcrafting could be nice too because you could craft various gems that are unique and that only you could equip which will boost your gear with nice stats.

World of Warcraft

Profession Guide - Shaman

Shamans are one of the few hybrid classes in World of Warcraft. For Shammys this means that they could either spec to be healers - restoration tree, casters - elemental tree or melee dpsers - enhancement tree. No matter which spec you choose, one could surely say Shamans are loads of fun to level up and play.

Leatherworking and Skinning

Easy to level and quite useful, these two professions could actually be the first choice of a Shaman. Why? Simply because Shamans are mail wearers and with Leatherworking leveled up they can make nice pieces of gear for themselves no matter what spec they are. If they would like to make it more profitable, Shaman Leatherworkers could also craft mail pieces of gear for Hunters or leather pieces of gear that will suit Rogues and Druids. Another nice thing which comes together with Skinning is a buff called Master of Anatomy which will increase your critical strike rating by 32.

Jewelcrafting and Mining

Jewelcrafting could be one of your choices if you are playing a Shaman on the Alliance side since the only race that could play a Shaman are the Draenei and this race by default has +10 on Jewelcrafting. In any case Jewelcrafting is a nice profession to have and is best paired with Mining. With this profession you will have benefits of the stone statues that will heal you up when in trouble while leveling and even after, nice rings and necklaces and what’s the most important gems that you could put in the sockets of your gear. Prospecting is one of the skills that you will get together with the Jewelcrafting profession. Prospecting will allow you to extract valuable gems from ores that you will gather while Mining. These two professions are not only useful for yourself, since you can also craft unique-equipped and soulbound gems, but also because they are very profitable. Mining is also very nice because it gives a buff called Toughness which will increase your Stamina by 50.

Other

Enchanting is always nice to have since every character, no matter which class or spec will need his/her gear to be enchanted. In some rare cases Elemental and Restoration Shamans pair this profession with Tailoring, since they can make good casting pre-raiding gear with it and because they are able to wear cloth. Since they are casters/healers they usually stay behind and get no damage so the armor bonus of mail gear pieces doesn’t matter much to them. Nevertheless it is always advisable to wear the highest gear you can and there is definitely nice mail gear that could be also crafted with Leatherworking for these two specs. Alchemy and Herbalism are two professions that can always come in handy for every class, not to mention that they are quite easy to be leveled, plus a bonus buff called Life Blood which will heal you for 2000 over 5 seconds. Inscription together with Herbalism could be also nice for a Shaman since the Glyphs he/she could make could be very useful and there are a lot of different glyphs differing on the spec you have and totems and spells you are using. Engineering and Mining could also be fun since you will be able to craft some armor pieces for yourself and other useful gadgets.

World of Warcraft

Profession Guide - Paladin

Paladins are one of the hybrid classes in World of Warcraft. This means that they can be tanks, healers or melee dpsers. While leveling Pallas wear mail armor until the 40th level and after they are eligible to wear plate. In many ways they resemble the Warriors but in the game play they are quite different.

Blacksmithing and Mining

Paladins wear plate same as Warriors and therefore Blacksmithing and Mining are one of the best paired professions to match them. Mining is a profession that serves Blacksmithing in the way that it makes it much easier and cheaper to level up. Blacksmithing however is something that Paladins can use for themselves mainly. While leveling they could craft their armor sets which will improve their performance and speed up their leveling. At the maximum level Blacksmithing is still quite useful since it can provide Pallas nice pre-raiding gear which they could craft themselves, also weapons, shields, and enhancements for belts in form of buckles. During the playing Paladin Blacksmiths will be able to learn more plans. To start leveling Blacksmithing all you will need is a Forge and a Blacksmithing Hammer. The hammer you can purchase at any mining trade supplier in major and smaller cities where a forge could be found as well. A Paladin Blacksmith can at some point choose between Armorsmith and a Weaponsmith specialization. If the choice comes down to the Weaponsmith, a Paladin can then specialize further in Swords, Maces or Axes or Mace which will depend purely on his/her choice of weapon. Another nice novice is a buff called Toughness which will increase your Stamina by 50.

Alchemy and Herbalism

Let’s just say that Alchemy and Herbalism are always nice to have for any type of character and for any class, whether you are a healer, a tank, melee dps or a caster. Everybody always needs potions and elixirs. Another nice thing when it comes to Alchemy are the flasks. Flasks have a longer lasting effect and their effect doesn’t vanish when a player dies in combat. Even though Pallas have healing spells they don’t have HoTs aka Healing over Time spells so a spell which they can get with Herbalism could be really nice for them. This spell is called Life Blood and when used will heal you for 2000 over 5 seconds.

Jewelcrafting and Mining

Jewelcrafting and Mining combination could be also nice for Paladins. Mining is good simply because it is accompanies Jewelcrafting good, and Jewelcrafting because of all those nice craftable rings and necklaces and especially because of gems. Gems are a need for each good player because they enhance their stats which of course improve the char’s performance in instances, raids and in PVP. Jewelcrafting could save you a lot of gold and time since as a Paladin you will probably be asked to respect into a healer when needed, dps or an aoe tank. All hybrid classes usually have few sets of armor they can change and of course the gems you will put into sockets on a healing gear will differ than the ones in the tanking gear.

Other

Inscription is a nice new profession which came with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. It is combined with Herbalism good and could be useful for all players no matter the class or spec. With Inscription one can make useful Glyphs that enhance your performance and skills. Engineering could be also fun for Paladins since when on the max level you could make some armor pieces useful for you and many other cool and useful gadgets. In example, healing Pallas would love Unbreakable Healing Amplifiers and tanking Pallas would definitely go for Armored Titanium Goggles.

World of Warcraft

Profession Guide - Priest

The Priest class is a caster healing or dps class. A Priest wears only cloth which makes the choice of primary professions quite easy.

Tailoring and Enchanting

Usually Priests take tailoring - enchanting combination. Why? It’s very simple. Because they are able to craft their own gear and on higher levels even epic gear which is really good pre-raiding gear. A good tailor can also make embroidery for pants which will save him some gold and also improve his stats. No matter if a Priest chooses to be a shadow or a healing Priest tailoring will suit him since he or she can craft both dps and healing gear. Enchanting is the only profession that fits tailoring perfect because of the disenchanting skill one gets with it. Enchanting for Priests is also a very nice profession. Priests can enchant their gear while they are leveling which makes their performance better, and on higher level it’s very useful because of the nice enchants one can put on the gear. There are also some enchants that only enchanters can do on themselves, like ring enchants. With this performance of the Priest will be increased compared to other Priests that don’t have enchanting as one of their primary professions.

Alchemy and Herbalism

These two professions could be also good for a Priest. By becoming a pot or elixir master you will be able to make nice and useful potions, elixirs and flasks. Especially if your character is PVE based that likes to raid and do instances, this two professions will prove very useful and will make you and save you a lot of gold. Another good reason to level up Alchemy is the Alchemist stone, a trinket that one could get even on level 70 with the Alchemy skill on 350, and with The Sha'tar reputation raised to Revered. With the Wrath of the Lich King expansion this trinket could be upgraded to few better trinkets depending on your class and spec. For Priests Mercurial Alchemist stone is a great trinket because it gives the wearer 40% increased effect of the mana and healing potions. It also increases the wearers spell power by 59 and improves haste rating by 50. Before the WOTLK expansion pots had only 2 minutes cooldown and depending on the fight length could be taken few times, which was especially nicer for the healing classes. Now pots per fight have been cut down to one. With this trinket a Priest can benefit greatly no matter if he or she is a healing or dps Priest. With Herbalism also comes a new buff called Life Blood which heals you for 2000 over 5 seconds. Priests have a lot of healing spells already but still one more could prove useful.

Other

These two combination pairs are great for a Priest. Except these profession combinations Priests have the freedom to take anything they would like. If they would choose to take Jewelcrafting they could benefit from making soulbound gems which have a bit more stats then the ones another Jewelcrafter could craft for them or they could buy on the Auction House. If they would take Engineering there is also a benefit of making the special kind of goggles and other head gear and mana and healing potion injectors to save some spaces in the bags.

Profession Guide - Hunter

Hunters are one of the most fun classes to play in WoW. Usually in the company of your pet, you will never feel lonely. Their surviving abilities are well known and respected. While leveling Hunters can wear leather gear and on higher levels they will get to wear mail.

Leatherworking and Skinning

These two are the best suited professions for a Hunter. Hunters can easily grind animals which they can skin so leveling Skinning won’t be any problem. Leatherworking will follow it easily. On higher levels with Leatherworking you can craft nice leather gear for Druids and Rogues and also really good mail gear for yourself, other Hunters and Shamans. Another useful thing a Leatherworker can make are Armor Kits. Armor Kits are used to enhance parts of your gear with stats. These are useful while you are leveling and on higher levels Leg Armors that Leatherworkers can make are a need. In example Icescale Leg Armor would be great to boost your stats since when attached to your pants will give you more attack power and critical strike rating. Skinning will also give you Master of Anatomy buff which will increase your critical strike rating by 32. Nice boost for your char isn’t it?

Engineering and Mining

Engineering and Mining are another great combo of professions used quite commonly by Hunters. Hunters have the ability called Feign Death which is really useful when you see that your group is about to wipe or if you just simply want to leave the combat. Gnomish Army Knife is a useful skill an Engineer has. With it a Hunter Engineer could return a death party member back to life. Weakness Spectralizers are a nice piece of gear that you could make for yourself as well with Engineering. With Engineering you could make nice guns and ammunition and also a lot of other nice and handy gadgets. Mining also has a new buff - Toughness. This buff will increase you Stamina by 50.

Other

Combinations like Jewelcrafting and Mining, Herbalism and Alchemy are always nice to have since they could be useful in various ways. Gems are always nice to have and with higher skill in Jewelcrafting and by doing the daily quests in Dalaran one can learn how to craft many nice gems and also unique-equipped. Alchemy and Herbalism is always nice since a Hunter also needs mana and health potions and also agility elixirs and flasks. It is nice to have these professions for raiding and also for grinding. Inscription and Herbalism is a new combination which could be fun to level up and also useful because you could craft many useful Glyphs and Scrolls. Enchanting could go well with a Hunter since this profession is quite useful for all classes. Everybody needs enchants and Disenchanting, which you get with Enchanting is really a gold savior. It is a very profitable profession since all valuable items that you get from disenchanting and which you don’t need for enchanting yourself you could easily sell on the Auction House. The only problem with leveling Enchanting is that it takes too long and requires lot of gold to be spent on it.

World of Warcraft

Profession Guide - Mage

Mages are the most powerful dps caster class in World of Warcraft. They have no healing abilities and they are one of the best damage dealers. Mages armor is made from cloth and they can’t wear any other material.

Tailoring and Enchanting

This is a very common combination for Mages since they wear cloth. With these two professions, Mages will always have an advantage while leveling since they can craft their own armor. On the higher levels they will be able to craft the pre-raiding gear and also while raiding they will be able to learn BOP (bind on pickup) patterns which they can claim. A tailor Mage can also make parts which will improve his gear like embroidery for pants. If you would buy these from another tailor it would cost you gold and valuable mats, but if you are a tailor yourself it will only cost you two Ethernium threads. Same thing goes for cloak improvements you can make for yourself. The Enchanting profession is also very useful for a Mage. Mages can use it to enchant their gear easily, disenchant all the unwanted and not needed items which of course they can sell, use for their own enchants or use to level up tailoring. There are also ring enchants that only enchanters can put on their rings such as +19 spell power. It is also nice to be able to enchant all of your other gear pieces that could be enchanted, because in any other case you will have to pay for it, and the mats are quite expensive. A Mage without enchants wouldn’t perform as good as the one that has fully enchanted gear.

Alchemy and Herbalism

Having Alchemy and Herbalism is nice for any character and Mages are no exception. Since they are top damage dealing casters they use flasks, potions and spell power elixirs. These goodies are quite expensive on the Auction House and by having these two professions Mages will not only save up some gold, but would always be prepared for the fight with their stats increasingly boosted. Another nice thing for a Mage will definitely be the Life Blood buff which they will get with Herbalism. For a Mage which doesn’t have a single healing spell this would be awesome. Life Blood will heal the Mage for 2000 over 5 seconds and it can be used while your char is invisible or stealthed.

Other

A Mage could also choose to train Jewelcrafting since crafting rare gems is also really nice. Mages that have Jewelcrafting would be able to craft unique equip gems which would improve the stats on their armor. Engineering could be nice because of the head piece of armor popularly called goggles. As an Engineer you can make other useful items such as injectors for healing and mana potions which are used to save you some space in the bag where you would probably have a lot of pots. Inscription is a useful profession as well because of the nice glyphs you could make for yourself.

World of Warcraft

Profession Guide - Druid

Depending on the spec the Druid class could play a tank, healer, caster or melee dps. A Druid is mainly leather wearer but could also wear cloth armor. Depending on the spec a Druid wants to play he/she should choose the professions.

Leatherworking and Skinning

We can surely say that these two professions go well with a Druid since he is primary a leather wearer. Skinning is very easy to level up and we can say the same for leatherworking if you choose to pair these two professions. Skinning will also give you a special buff called Master of Anatomy which will increase your critical strike rating by 32. With Leatherworking Druids can craft parts of the armor while they are leveling and also on higher levels they can craft nice epic armor items. A leatherworker can also craft Armor Kits which could be sold on the Auction House and also used to improve the stats of the wearer. Icescale Leg Armor and Frosthide Leg Armor will improve your stats if you are a Druid tank or a Druid melee dpser. Leatherworking and Skinning are two professions from which Feral Druids - tanks and melee dpsers, could benefit the most, but there are also some nice armor sets that caster or healer Druids Leatherworkers can make for themselves.

Alchemy and Herbalism

Alchemy and Herbalism could also be very nice for a Druid. Whatever spec they choose they would always have the ability to make useful flasks, pots and elixirs. The advantage of being a Druid and having Herbalism as one of your primary professions is definitely the flying form. Herbs are easy to spot from above and if you were any other class you would need to fly down and dismount, pick up the herb and then mount again, and so on… Druids do this much easier, they don’t need to dismount since their flying form is instant cast and also they could pick up herbs even while in flying form. This makes the herb farming quite easy and really fast! Herbalism will also give you a skill called Life Blood which heals you for 2000 over 5 seconds. You can use this skill even while being invisible or stealthed.

Other

Tailoring and Enchanting are nice if your Druid is Resto (healer) or Balance (dps caster) Druid. Since a Druid can wear cloth as well you could make nice armor sets for these two specs. Cloth armor is definitely poorer in armor and base stats but it does have a lot of spell damage and mana regeneration.
Enchanting however is always nice to have since you can enchant your own gear and disenchant items you can’t or don’t want to use into more valuable items like shards, dust and essences. Jewelcrafting is nice because of the unique equipped soulbound gems you could craft that will boost your stats. Engineering as well has few useful items you could craft. In example, if you are a Feral Druid Weakness Spectralizers, a leather head piece would blow your mind! Greensight Gogs will definitely be your favorite head item if you are a Moonkin (Balance Druid).

World of Warcraft

Profession Guide - Death Knight

The Death Knight class is a hero class which came with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion in 2008. In order to create a Death Knight you must have a character which is at least level 55. Your journey will start at The Ebon Hold in the Eastern Plaguelands. The Death Knight could belong to any race you choose and will start equipped with 12 slot bags and the full set of green gear.

If you decide to create a DK you will soon realize all its potentials and will definitely be fun for you to level one up. A Death Knight could be a melee dpser and a tank and is the only class that has runic power which he uses for his skills. A DK wears plate and can use either two one-handed weapons or a two-handed weapon. Wearing a shield is not a possibility for this class.

Blacksmithing and Mining

Similar to Warriors, Death Knights are advised to take Blacksmithing and Mining as their primary professions since they wear plate. With Blacksmithing Death Knights can craft some useful items and goodies such as weapons, armor pieces and buckles. Buckles are especially nice since they will give a nice boost to your char’s stats. To start leveling Blacksmithing as one of your primary professions you will need to buy a Blacksmithing Hammer and find the nearest forge. Blacksmithing divides in two branches at some point so a player can choose to either become a Weaponsmith or Armorsmith. Mining goes perfect with this profession since in order to level up BS you will definitely need a lot of ores that you can easily gather with mining. Not to mention the new profession buff that you will get with Mining called Toughness. This buff will increase you Stamina by 50.

Other

Death Knight gives a lot of options for professions and it is all about the choice you make. Depending if you like to PVP or are a hard core PVE player the choice of professions could vary. Enchanting is always nice especially if you raid but there are also enchants that you could use on your PVP sets. Nice things about this profession are the ring enchants which are only available for enchanters themselves. Nice boost on your stats is always considered to be good, not to mention the fact that you can disenchant items you grind along the way or unwanted gear. Engineering could seem fun especially because of the nice mounts you could make and other gadgets as well as a nice epic head piece. Alchemy and Herbalism are also always nice and are two very useful professions if you consider playing PVE and grinding. With Herbalism you will get a healing buff called Life Blood which will heal you for 2000 over 5 seconds. If you are more PVP based then they aren’t that good for you. Inscription is the new profession which could prove to be useful and profitable because of all the Glyphs, Decks and Scrolls you could make. Jewelcrafting is also quite useful for any character since gems are always a need and there are some gems that only Jewelcrafters can socket into their gear.

Priest - What Makes a Priest The Best Healer?

The Priest is a caster class and is considered by most to be the best all-round healer in WoW. His spells are Holy and Shadow based. A Priest can also do quite a bit of damage but is mainly known for his great healing capabilities in both PvE and PvP.

One of the downsides of playing a Priest is the leveling. Even though the Shadow talent tree is available, which greatly increases a Priest’s damage done, it can still be time taking because the spells cost a lot of mana. Once you get to the higher levels though, you can always count on a spot in any kind of party or raid wherever they are going because a Priest is just great and everybody knows it.

All the Priests are able to cast a Stamina buff on themselves and party and raid members. If a few points in the Discipline tree are spent another buff called Divine Spirit becomes available. This buff boosts the Spirit of players. A Priest’s healing spells are based on Holy power and one has a variety of instant, small, big, HoT and AoE heals to choose from which make the priest the best overall healer. If a Priest prefers to do damage he is pretty much stuck on the Shadow spells if he wants to get the best out of his Priest.

You can choose from quite a few races if you want to play a Priest. The Human Spirit and Blood Elf’s Arcane Spirit racials make them nice choices. Other races you can choose from are Dwarves, Night Elves, Draenei, Trolls, and Undead.

A Priest can choose to go for a full Discipline build if he likes to heal and likes to play PvP. There are some great talents in the tree that make the Priest tougher, his heals more effective and the Priest will also gain some new abilities like Pain Suppression and Power Infusion. The Discipline Priests are great single target healers. This, together with abilities like the ones mentioned above make the Discipline Priests great for PvP as well.

The Holy tree is also great for healing. It’s probably a bit better when it comes to raw healing then the Discipline tree. Some other healing spells like Circle of Healing are learned which make the Priest even a better healer. The Holy build gives more bonus healing and is normally considered to be better for PvE purposes when it comes to healing.

Finally, the Shadow build. Priests make great healers but they sure can do good damage as well. His damage is based on Damage over Time (DoT), and fast spells like Mind Blast and Mind Flay. The great thing about a Shadow Priest is that he can also support his group by placing some debuffs on a target like Vampiric Embrace and Vampiric Touch which will convert some damage done to mana and hitpoints for both the Priest and his group members.

Paladin Leveling Guide

A Paladin has received some great boosts with the WoTLK expansion. It is especially their damage tree that has gained a lot of improvements. In this guide I will explain which talents should be used and for what reason.

Let’s first have a look at the build:

Paladin Leveling Build

You basically take all the Retribution talents except for Deflection and Divine Purpose, except if you plan to play with somebody else often, then you can make a few changes and use Divine Purpose.

What makes the Retribution tree so powerful? To begin with you will improve your Blessing of Might which is the Blessing you will be using on yourself all the time to increase your attack power. Then you got your Improved Judgment which allows you to use Judgments more often which also results in a lot more damage output.

Heart of the Crusader is not only great for single playing and can also increase the damage of entire parties and even raids. Pursuit of Justice is really great because it improves both your movement speed as well as the mounted movement speed by 16%!

Then you have some other nice talents and you will end up being able to choose Sanctified Retribution which allows you to turn on your Retribution Aura which increases Holy damage done by 10% which is really nice. This one gets even better when you get the Improved and Swift retribution upgrades more down in the talent tree.

You will also be able to take Repentance which is a great crowd control ability. The Art of War allows you to instantly heal when some of your damaging abilities have a critical strike and that is just great because it keep you going. You will need some mana however but that is provided through Judgements of the Wise which gives a nice boost to your Judgement spells: you will receive 15% of your mana whenever you cast a Judgement spell and you will also get the replenishment effect which restores even more mana.

With Crusader Strike and Divine Storm you will gain two ace abilities when it comes down to dealing great damage. Together with your Seal of Command and your Retribution Aura you will be able to deal out massive damage. Righteous Vengeance is also really nice and adds to all the damage dealt in the form of a DoT (damage over time) talent.

Al together you can say that the Retribution tree is just great for leveling. While still being able to heal you can dish out massive amounts of damage and hit that level cap in no-time.

Power Leveling with the Dungeon Finder

Everyone always wants to know about the fastest way to level their World of Warcraft characters, and dungeon leveling offers a unique new way to power level. The dungeon finder was added with patch 3.3, and it creates an easy way for anyone to find groups to run through dungeons with. Instead of being limited to the other players on your server, you now have a much larger pool to find a group from. The dungeon finder pulls together players from any of the servers in your playgroup. This is why even people who usually play during their server’s off times can easily find dungeon groups to level with. It also leaves no excuse for not experiencing all of the Classic dungeons from the original World of Warcraft.

To try out the dungeon finder, click on the button that looks like a green eye on the bottom of your action bar. It’s toward the right side of your screen. This is the “Looking for Group” button, and it takes you right into the dungeon finder.

The first time you try dungeon leveling you’ll discover immediately that you gain experience much faster than you do while solo questing. Some WoW add-ons like Titan Panel will even put concrete numbers on exactly how much experience you’re gaining per second, but trying the dungeon finder just once will probably be enough to show you how much faster you can power level through this method.

There are several reasons dungeon leveling gets you more experience faster. One reason is all the elite monsters you’ll have a chance to kill. Elite creatures give a lot more experience than regular monsters, and you certainly won’t be able to take down any elites by yourself. It will take all five of you working as a team to defeat the elite creatures you’ll only discover through instance leveling.

Another important factor in the increased experience offered through dungeon leveling is the quests. Instance leveling alone will bring you plenty of experience, but simply doing the quests that accompany each of the Classic and Burning Crusade dungeons can bring you half of a level or even a full level of experience in itself. That experience is in addition to all the experience you picked up while you were in the dungeon actually killing the mobs.

Another reason you should do all the quests for each of the dungeons is the fact that you get twice as much experience from the quests as you do for regular solo quests outside of the dungeons. Blizzard considers all dungeon quests to be much more difficult because of all the mobs and elite monsters you’ll find in them. This is why completing just four dungeon quests is equivalent to completing eight solo quests on your own.

Instance leveling with the dungeon finder is a great way to get a lot of experience very fast. You’ll probably even find that you spend much less time being dead and a whole lot more time actually killing monsters and getting experience.
