With most players on the World of Warcraft servers on the weekends, there are different kind of players playing on the weekend than Monday through Friday.
Most casual players are the ones on during the weekends. These players are often not as serious about the gold-making process that you are.
They are unaware of the pricing and economic schemes going on, and will add a superficial or unrepresentative spin to the Market during short spans.
They spend money as they make it, and, without gearing up or necessarily using Auction Houses, they will inject the market with products or money at any given time.
With their high level chars they are unlimited buyers of everything that’s purple, Bind on Equip items, gems, and Enchanting materials.
With this in mind, the buyer spike during the weekends floods the economy with cheap goods and cheap money.
When your Auction House expires 48 hours later, the weekend will be almost over, so you should put your goods in as early as possible, maybe Friday evening.
Also, you will usually find many good deals at the Auction House over the weekend, especially late in the weekend.
With these casual players dealing with items they may not know the value of, expect there to be many new items that were found over the weekend available for bid.
Many of these items will be purchased at a bargain.

The Auction House (AH) is the heart and soul of every possible way of accumulating wealth. Using this tool will be the most important factor in your accumulation of gold.
Used correctly, it can serve as the biggest advantage to attaining riches, but can also be downfall to your character if used without the proper knowledge.
Knowing how to overcome the pitfalls of the AH, and how to take advantage of all of its different possibilities will allow your character maximum gold earning potential.
Understanding the economy on a larger scale of your entire server will help you to understand the micro-economy of your Auction House.
The basic tenets of money making (buying low, selling high) will help you to gain the most gold, as will having as much knowledge as possible, such as average prices, ranges, items, and profits.
The Auctioneer AddOn (google: auctioneer addon), and others, will help you keep, collect, and analyze this data in easy to read sheets, drop downs, and browsers. Like having the pulse of the Auction House in front of you, the condensing of all of the information available into an easy to read format will allow you to scan more quickly, and buy more intelligently.
Random buying, though, is not always rewarded with profit, and using this portion guide will help you to understand how you can use AH effectively and make the gold that is there for the taking.
The basic daily strategies are presented step by step, and knowing the basic principle (buying low and selling high), will help you to dominate the economy as I have for years, and at one time through nine different servers.
Using each of these add-ons will put you in the premium position for economic success, and, like me, running the auction houses that are the essential component in your money-making life as a successful character.

Like searching sales and bargain shopping, the city trade channel can be a source of important and gold-saving deals for the avid player.
Though searching for the right deal and the right buy can be time consuming, the advantages are multiple for the buyer and the seller.
The seller can avoid the selling fees of the Auction House, as well as benefiting from a quicker selling time. With discount around 10 or 20% at the trade channel, buyers and sellers are presented with I should note now that I do not recommend ever selling in the trade channel.
The trade channel I consider a tool for someone who needs some quick gold. With time to set up a system where you can get the best prices available at the Auction House, there would be no need to sell at the trade channel.
With excessive bids from advertisements, the trade channel can be a headache to anyone wishing to do serious business through that venue, unless absolutely necessary.
While 20% is a conservative estimate of the savings available buying at the trade channel, often items will skyrocket this number. When a seller is clueless as to the real value of their item, a product can be sold for next to nothing, comparatively.
Buying objects like Krol Blades or Molten Core items on the trade channel, and selling them for large markups at the Auction House can quickly build a small fortune through unknowing buyers, or make small profits over time more realistically.
Items that aren’t very well known can slip by very easily as well. I ended up buying a 1 in 15,000 drop Azure Whelpling pet for the bargain price of 2 gold from a seller who had no idea what he had.
These days, that pet goes for 300-500+ gold and is one of the rarest pets in World of Warcraft. If you’re willing to wade through the idiocy of the trade channel, you can find an incredible deal from time to time.

Leveling mining and herbalism are the two easiest ways of earning gold at low levels. Selling ore and herbs on the Auction House is a good way to get a nice amount of gold as you are leveling up. It is even quite useful to farm gold like this on higher levels. It is an advice that you download the Gatherer addon which will track all of your discovered ores and herbs so you don’t have to roam around trying to remember where a vein or a herb was on the map.

World of Warcraft
Most people who play World of Warcraft know that dungeon leveling is the fastest way to level, but not everyone knows the best way to get the most out of the dungeon finder system. You’ve got to have a dungeon strategy in order to make the most out of each and every run, and it doesn’t hurt to have a dungeon leveling guide to help you, either.
Developing Your Dungeon Strategy
The best way to develop your own WoW dungeon strategy is to get a complete understanding of the system, how it works, and why dungeon leveling is the fastest way to go. Dungeon leveling basically involves leveling your character by running chains of dungeons with other players. It’s easier than ever to do this because of the dungeon finder tool, which was part of patch 3.3 under the Wrath of the Lich King Expansion. The dungeon finder allows you to party with players from other servers, even during your server’s off times.
Developing your dungeon strategy depends at least partly on what type of class you are. The damage classes will have to wait in line much longer than healing and tanking classes, so it’s certainly worth it to solo quest while you’re waiting for your dungeon group to form. Tanks, on the other hand, may be able to walk in and out of dungeons all day long because there are far fewer tanks than there are DPS classes. Healers are also in high demand, although usually not quite as much as tanks.
Don’t Forget Your Dungeon Quests
No dungeon strategy is complete with a plan for dungeon quests. This is one of the most important parts of dungeon leveling, but it’s often the most forgotten. Dungeon quests offer you double the experience of the quests you do solo because they’re considered to be a lot more difficult. Every dungeon in World of Warcraft have quests that can be done inside of it, although some dungeons only offer quests for either Alliance or Horde characters. Doing just one dungeon quest is like doing two solo quests, so it’s well worth your time to figure out which quests go with which dungeon.
Thankfully, there is now a dungeon leveling guide created specifically for those who want to take advantage of this new way to power level. Dugi’s Dungeon Leveling Guide covers everything from where to find the quests that go with each dungeon to where to turn them in. The guide even takes into account the fact that you can’t use the dungeon finder until your character reaches level 15. It has all the qualities of the traditional leveling guide in addition to the new information you need to know about dungeon leveling.
Instance leveling is a great way to bring your character from level 1 to 80 with much less time and effort than it took in the beginning days of WoW. You’ll find yourself hopping from dungeon to dungeon and level to level with ease.
World of Warcraft
Do you ever wonder why some World of Warcraft players seem to have the best gear, even as they’re leveling their new characters? It’s probably because they spend their time instance leveling instead of running solo quests all the time. Instance leveling is the new way to get your character from level 1 to 80 in record time.
Better Gear
Of course it’s pretty obvious that dungeon leveling gives you much more experience in a shorter amount of time, but there are plenty of other benefits from leveling this way too. One of the best things about instance leveling is all the great gear you have a chance to get. Most of the gear that drops in the instances will never drop on monsters you kill out in the world. The gear that drops off of the dungeon bosses is always top of the line also, which means you really can’t do better than picking up your gear in the dungeons.
Another way to get better gear is by completing the quests associated with each dungeon. The rewards you get for completing these quests are always better than the rewards from solo quests because Blizzard considers dungeons to be more difficult. It’s like a win-win scenario because you get twice the experience and even better gear, simply by dungeon leveling as much as you can.
Monetary Gain
There’s also the monetary gain associated with instance leveling. You’ll earn a lot more gold by leveling this way because you’ll kill more monsters in a shorter amount of time. More monsters means more gold and vendor items to loot.
You’ll also have access to more items that are rare or useful enough to other players to sell on the auction house. If you don’t know how to use the auction house, learning while you’re dungeon leveling is the perfect time. If you’re not a tailor, you can sell all those stacks of cloth you’ll get, in addition to any other materials for various professions. There is simply a much wider variety of items that drop inside of dungeons, and instance leveling is the perfect way to see more of these items.
Time to Explore
One thing you will notice when you begin dungeon leveling is that WoW does not include maps with most of the Classic and Burning Crusade dungeons. This can be a bit of a pain, but thankfully some of the new dungeon leveling guides include these maps so you’ll never get lost again.
If you already have at least one level 80 character, then you should try dungeon leveling for your next one. It gives you a chance to explore areas of the game you might not have played before and kill unique monsters and bosses that you haven’t seen yet. Dungeon leveling puts a whole new spin on the game you’ve been addicted to for years. Remember, you can’t use the dungeon finder until you reach level 15, but those first 14 levels will just fly by on the solo track!
World of Warcraft
Dear players, this guide is made in the purpose of helping you out when it comes to the economy in World of Warcraft. You will be able to learn how to use the all mighty Auction House and how to make the best purchase and bargain. Let’s start with the Auction House itself.
Wow’s Auction House has been a subject of envy for all players that were playing other mmorpgs, simply because it was the best made solution for players. Auction Houses or in short AHs can be found only in the capital cities in the old map of Azeroth: Stormwind, Darnassus, Ironforge and Exodar on the Aliance side and Undercity, Ogrimmar, Thunderbluff and Silvermoon City for the Horde side.
How to use the Auction House
Once you get to the AH you should click on one of the Auctioneers. On the left side you will see the categories of items and goods you can search through. By clicking in example on the Weapons you will have listed sub-categories which will of course make your search easier. On the upper frame you will see a text box for the following: Name, Level - Range and a drop down menu where it says All. Depending on what kind of quality item you are looking for you could narrow your search to: poor, uncommon, common, rare or epic items by clicking under the All tab. If you want to search through all you should just leave it as it is and click on the Search button on the right side. Searching through all items is never advisable since there are so many items on the AH and you have a good chance of getting lost. If you know the exact name of the item you are looking for type it in the Name text box and click on Search. The list of all available items currently on the AH will be shown. On the down side you have the link to go to the next page/pages.
There is an option to see how an item would look on you i.e. armor and weapons. Hold CTRL key and left click on the item and you will be able to see it. This option is popularly called “the dressing room”. When buying an item you should make sure to check its price. The Buyout price is the maximum price and by selecting an item and clicking on the Buyout button located at the bottom of the AH window you will be able to purchase an item right away.
The first price that you see is the price that you can bid. You can bid by clicking on the Bid button also located in the bottom of the AH window. If you want to get an item for the cheaper price you should definitely bid but expect that other players will do the same so it can be a long chase. When you bid the amount of gold that you have bid with is taken from you but if somebody outbids you the same amount is returned to you via mail. If you manage to buy the item without being outbid the item will be sent to you also through mail when the time of that particular auction expires.
If you would like to sell an item, click on the Auctions tab on the left side at the bottom of the AH window. Place an item in the Auction item slot; fill in the Starting price and the Buyout price and the check the length of your Auction duration. You can put 12 hours for short, 24 hours for long and 48 hours for very long auction. It is advisable that you check the prices on the same item before you make your own auction, lower your price a bit and then put it on. If the item is sold you will get the gold on your email with a small percentage fee that the AH takes. If the item isn’t sold it will return to you when the auction expires.
You could always monitor your bids and auctions by clicking on the Bids and Auctions tabs.
World of Warcraft
Once you have created your Death Knight you will see that you have no talent points yet. That can be quite weird for a level 55 character but you shouldn’t worry. The quests in and around the Ebon Hold will all give you talent points. But how exactly should you use these to level up your Death Knight really fast?
Well, that’s what this guide is about. I will explain which talent build is nice and for what reason.
To start with I must say that the Death Knight is a great class that has nice abilities like a pet, great damaging spells, plate armor and heavy normal attacks. The talent trees are Blood, Frost, and Unholy.
What you are looking for while leveling is a build that allows you to continue fighting and speed you up in any other way possible. That’s the reason why I say that a Blood/Unholy build would be the best for leveling. Assuming that you will level solo, I have made the following build and you will see that this build is great for solo leveling:
Death Knight Leveling Guide
Let’s start with the Blood talents. Butchery is just great for leveling and should be taken no matter which build you decide to make if you want to level fast. Then you got some nice talents that improve your damage and then you see Rune Tap and the Improved Rune Tap talent. This is one of those talents that will keep you going because it will restore your HP. Then you have Vendetta, Mark of Blood, Blood Worms, Blood Aura, and Vampiric Blood that will also help you to keep your hit points up. With all these talents you basically can’t die while leveling.
With Hysteria, Hearth Strike, Might of Mograine, Blood Gorged and Dancing Rune Weapon you will have great damaging abilities.
The reason you should focus on Unholy a bit as well is that you will become a bit more effective when it comes to AoE damage with Morbidity and Corpse Explosion. Then you have a 5% Dodge chance through Anticipation and some extra stats from Shadow of Death. The reduced cooldown on Death Grip is also very handy. Last but definitely not least is On a Pale Horse. This talent is great for leveling and will reduce your traveling time. A side effect of this nice leveling talent is that your stun and fear effects will be reduced by 20%.
Altogether you can say that this build will keep you going because of all the health gaining abilities the Blood tree has to offer. The Blood tree also has a few nice damaging abilities while the Unholy tree adds a bit of AoE damage and reduces your traveling time. Nice thing about this talent tree is that you are also capable to deal with opponents in PvP situations, which is especially nice on PvP realms.
World of Warcraft
With the release of the WoTLK in mid November 2008, a new class, The Death Knight, was introduced.
The Death Knights are WoW’s first Hero Class. What this ‘Hero Class’ exactly means is unknown because they have not proven to be very different then other classes except for the facts that you need to have a level 55 or higher level character to create a Death Knight, that the Death Knight will start as a level 55 upon being created and that the Death Knight uses Runic Power to be able to use his abilities.
Once you create a Death Knight you will enter the game as a level 55 character that is loyal to Arthas the Lich King. You will start fully equipped with green gear and 4, 12 slot bags and 20 silver in Acherus - The Ebon Hold which can be found in the Eastern Plaguelands. As you start questing near The Ebon Hold you will be rewarded talent points and blue item and once you reach level 57 or so you will have the regular amount of talent points for that level and full blue gear.
I will not take away the fun by explaining the quest chain but I can tell you that the quest chain is cool and rewarding. You can reach level 58 in just an hour or two by doing the quests around The Ebon Hold so even if you do not intend to play a Death Knight it is nice to at least pick up some cool lore. Once you hit 58 you are able to go to the Outlands though and you know that the leveling there isn’t time-consuming, so who knows; even if you didn’t plan to play a Death Knight, you might still get stuck playing one because it is a cool class.
A Death Knight is a melee class that can wear most of the melee weapons. One can equip two one-handed weapons or choose for one two-handed weapon. He can serve as a melee damage dealer or as a tank. A Death Knight however, cannot equip a Shield. They are able to wear plate armor and are able to get a very high parry chance.
The Death Knight is a melee fighter that uses Runic Power for his special abilities, like said before. He has 6 runes that he can use by using certain abilities. These runes have a cooldown but do give the Death Knight some Runic Power. This Runic Power can then be used to use other special abilities that only cost Runic Power and do not place a rune on cooldown.
One of the first quests you will come across is called “The Emblazoned Runeblade”. This quest will give you the ability called Runeforging. This ability can be used to forge a rune on the DK’s weapons.
The Death Knight has three talent trees like any other class namely Blood, Frost and Unholy. Each tree gives advantages and it’s up to the player’s preference which talent tree, or combination of talent trees he would like to use.
The advantages of a Death Knight are that he starts at level 55, is very easy to level and can continue fighting for longer periods of time, can both tank and dps, they can have a Ghoul and Gargoyle pet and that they look sort of cool. The disadvantage of playing a Death Knight is that almost everybody has decided to play a Death Knight, which makes it harder to find groups and raids etc.
World of Warcraft
A Druid is a great class to level no matter if you choose to level as a Feral Druid or as a Balance Druid. Reason for this is that you are still able to heal up after you get some damage. In this article I will describe a great Feral Leveling build and a great Balance leveling build. The Restoration tree can be partially taken as you will see but a full Restoration build will slow down your leveling.
Feral Druid
As a Feral Druid that wants to level up fast you should specialize in your Cat Form ability because the damage done in Cat Form is better than the Bear Forms available. There are some talents that are better for Bears then for Cats so these can be skipped. Please note that this is a solo leveling build that focuses on maximizing the damage of your Cat Form.
Feral leveling build
Instead of saying why the talents that are chosen are chosen, I will tell you why you can skip the ones that are not:
Feral Instinct: Swipe is a Bear’s ability so you can skip it. The reduced chance to become visible is not important while leveling.
Thick Hide: This talent supports the tanking kind of Druids, not adding anything to quicker leveling.
Brutal Impact: It is more of a Bear ability since it reduces the cooldown of Bash and makes Bash last 1 more second. While for a cat it only gives an additional 1 second to his Pounce stun duration. It’s not bad though so that’s why you can spend a point here.
Natural Reaction: Pure Bear talent.
Primal Tenacity: Not good for leveling purposes since you will remain in Cat Form and fear and Stun effects are not a killer while leveling.
You should add some Restoration talents to this build because of three reasons: Improved Mark of the Wild which is still one of the better buffs out there, Naturalist which increases your damage done by 10%, and finally Omen of Clarity which gives you a chance to use your abilities without spending Energy.
Balance Druid
As a Balance Druid you just try to get as much possible damage but also don’t want to run out of mana too often.
Balance leveling build
Genesis: Isn’t really worth it since Moonfire and Wasp Swarm are the only Dot’s that can be used.
Brambles: Yes, a lot of Entangling Roots can be used while leveling + Thorns, Bark skin and Treants boosted.
Improved Faerie Fire: More something for raids, you don’t want to spend time casting this on a mob.
Both the Feral and Balance talent build focus on maximizing the damage output. Why? Well the answer is simple; you don’t need a lot of survivability because you can heal up from time to time anyway.
World of Warcraft
Druids are not regular nature-loving beings. They have great powers and use the power given to them in various ways. They are shape shifters that can fill in any role as a spell casting damage dealer or healer, a tank or a melee damage dealer. The Druid can only be chosen by Tauren and Night Elf players.
They are capable to transform into a Bear or Dire Bear form which increases both hit points and armor and gives them some nice tanking abilities which can be used with the use of Rage which on its turn can be gained by dealing and receiving damage. They will receive several abilities that create a high amount of threat. The nice thing about a Druid tank is that they are capable to still do great amounts of damage compared to in example a Warrior tank.
If needed the Druids can also transform into Cat form which makes a Tauren change into a Lion, and a Night Elf into a Panther. In this form their attacks can be used with the use of Energy. In Cat form they receive some nice damaging abilities and their way of fighting can be compared to the Rogue’s fighting system, including combo points and finishing moves. Both the Bear and Cat form are boosted if one spends talents in the Feral talent tree of the Druid.
Melee damage is not the only type of damage a Druid can do. He also can be a great spell caster using both Nature and Arcane based spells. The Balance talent tree should be followed if you want to be a powerful spell casting damage dealer. In this talent tree, you will also be able to place a talent into the Moonkin and Improved Moonkin form. When this talent is chosen, the Druid can transform into a Moonkin, a big creature of the night, famous for his Britney Spears’ dance J. This form not only looks nice but also gives the player some nice boosts like a Spell Critical Strike Bonus, Armor, Haste Rating and bonus Spellpower. Most of these bonuses also apply on party members which makes a Moonkin a great addition to each group and raid.
Then there are the Restoration Druids. The Restoration Druids are great healers and have the most Heal over Time (HoT) spells available of all healer classes. They also have several instant heals (panic buttons). The Resto Druid focuses on healing and should max out the Restoration Talent tree. At some point one will be able to choose a form called Tree of Life. In this Form he will give a bonus to all healing done on targets in a group or raid. All HoTs can be cast at reduced costs in this form and also the power of the healing spells will be increased. He will also receive some bonus armor.
Then there are the Traveling Form and Sea Lion Form that can be obtained at lower levels. These Forms increase the run and swim speed of the Druid which is very nice for leveling and even handy when the level cap is hit. Lastly there is the Flight Form which instantly transforms the Druid into a flying bird. Nice about this is that this form can be obtained at level 68.
The advantage of a playing a Druid is that you can change your build when you get bored with one and turn your tank into a healer and back etc. whenever you like. You will not get bored easily with this character. Even as a DPS Druid you can still switch forms to heal or resurrect somebody with your combat rez. The disadvantage of Druid might also be his advantage. Being capable to do so many things might be the reason that he doesn’t excel at something like tanking, like a Warrior does, or healing like a Priest.
World of Warcraft
Many World of Warcraft players have their own strategy for power leveling, but the numbers prove that dungeon leveling is truly the fastest way to go. You’ll see your average experience earned per second drastically increase for a number of reasons.
More Experience Per Hour
You’ll earn a lot more experience per hour you spend in the dungeons because you don’t have to spend precious minutes traveling between zones. The dungeon finder takes you right to your dungeon, no matter where you are currently playing. Cloth-wearing classes like mages and priests will also discover that they spend a lot less time being dead because they have four other people helping them level. Healing classes will also find it much easier to level their healing spec instead of DPS. Dungeon leveling allows them to level purely as a healing class, which, in turn, gives them more time to learn how to heal groups before they reach level 80 and begin doing 10- and 25-man content.
More Fun
Dungeon leveling also adds a new layer of fun to this already addicting game. By instance leveling instead of doing solo quests, you get the chance to experience many Classic and Burning Crusade dungeons you probably haven’t done before. This offers new (but old) content for veteran WoW players and a fresh way to introduce new players to the game.
Plus, what’s more fun than playing with other people? Every single dungeon you run will be a little different than the one you ran before because the players will be different. It’s always fun to watch different people react to the various bosses, which are unique from anything else in the game.
Earning Gold Through Enchanting Materials
And dungeon leveling isn’t just all about the extra experience. That’s certainly a good enough reason by itself to do it, but instance leveling also opens the door for anyone to learn how to make gold on the auction house. The simplest way to do this is by choosing “disenchant” on any items you don’t need that drop in the dungeon. The disenchant option is only available if you have an enchanter in your group.
Players who choose the enchanting profession have the ability to disenchant magical items, and simply having an enchanter in your group will also allow you to disenchant items. Whenever you’re in a group and someone loots something that is unique, rare, or magical, a box opens that basically asks you what you want to do with the item. If you need the item, you can select “Need.” If you have an enchanter in your group, the “Disenchant” icon will be lit up. If you have no interest in the item and the “Disenchant” icon is lit up, you should almost always choose to disenchant. This will allow you to get the enchanting materials and sell them on the auction house.
There are so many advantages to instance leveling that you simply can’t afford not to try it. You won’t believe how quickly you’re able to power level.
World of Warcraft
Ever since the original World of Warcraft game came out, diehard fans have been studying the fastest ways to level, and dungeon leveling is the latest and greatest technique for power leveling quickly. The dungeon finder tool makes it easy for both Alliance and Horde players to level their WoW characters almost entirely inside of the game’s dungeons.
Dungeon leveling is very simple. It basically involves using the dungeon finder button located at the bottom of your action bard toward the right side of your screen. The button looks like a small green eye. You aren’t able to use the dungeon finder until you reach level 15, but you might want to wait one extra level and begin using it after you train your level 16 skills from your class trainer. When you’re ready to try dungeon leveling, just click the dungeon finder button to begin looking for a group. Then all you have to do is sit back, relax, and watch the levels fly by!
You may find it to be very helpful to run solo quests while you’re waiting for your dungeon group to form, especially if you’re one of the DPS, or damage, classes. Tanks and healers will hardly ever have to wait long to find a group.
One thing you should never overlook when you’re power leveling your way through the dungeon system is the quests. Quests have always been a major part of leveling in World of Warcraft, and they will give you a huge boost when you’re instance leveling through the dungeons. It’s easy to avoid doing the quests that go with each dungeon, but you’ll be missing out on a lot of great gear and experience points by not doing them. Dungeon quests award double the experience of solo quests do, which means dungeon leveling will help you power level even faster than simply picking and choosing the right solo quests to do.
The only problem with doing all the dungeon quests is that it can be difficult to figure out where to pick up all those quests. Dungeon leveling will take you all around the WoW map, and trying to figure out where the quest pickups are for each dungeon can take a lot of work. This may be a good reason to invest in a dungeon leveling guide like Dugi’s. Traditional leveling guides were developed long before the dungeon finder system became part of World of Warcraft, but Dugi’s Dungeon Leveling Guide was developed specifically for the WoW player who wants to power level through the dungeons. A good dungeon leveling guide will tell you where to pick up the dungeon quests, what level you should be when you pick them up, and where to turn them in afterward.
Instance leveling is truly a great way to power level your character, and you’ll probably even discover dozens of Classic and Burning Crusade dungeons you’ve never played before. Why not try dungeon leveling and see how quickly you can power level?
